To achieve product upgrade better and complete the product chain from low-end to high-end and then to high-precision, Shandong Iraeta signed a vertical lathe purchase agreement on Oct. 26th.

In this procurement, Iraeta bought one vertical lathe with 16 meters in diameter, one with 12.5 meters and five with 6.3 meters from Qiqihar Heavy CNC Equipment Company. These lathes are capable to machining work-pieces with large diameter and short length, like large-size discs, rings and cylinders. Equipped with these lathes, the high alloy nonferrous metal forging project of Iraeta can better satisfy the high-level requirements from large-size pressure vessels, marine engineering, hydro power, etc.

Qiqihar Heavy CNC Equipment Co., Ltd whose old name was Qiqihar First Machine Tool Works is a mainstay enterprise in national machine industry. Now, it’s became an international renowned and national leading industrialization base for heavy equipment as well as defense equipment. Purchasing from Qiqihar Heavy CNC Equipment will further improve Iraeta’s equipment level and promote product upgrade, so as to better serve national industry.

During the 13th five-year plan, Shandong Iraeta plans to develop high-end precision products. It invested 550 million RMB in high alloy nonferrous metal forging project with an area of 80000 square meters. In this project, Iraeta imported the global first ring rolling machine from SMS Meer with 16 meters in diameter. This equipment is capable to process forgings with 16 meters in diameter, 3 meters in height and 200t in unit weight.

The progress of high alloy nonferrous metal forging project

At present, the main steel columns of forging workshop are being installed. These columns are capable to bear the weight of 200 tons. This installation project will be completed by mid-November. The workshop rack construction is expected to be finished by the end of November. Machining workshop is currently in the geosyncline construction stage and the column installation is planned to be completed by the mid-December.
